Faul Psychological is a Minnesota-based forensic and public safety firm providing highly specialized psychological services to law enforcement, public safety, and civilian agencies and individuals. Such services include pre-employment screening, leadership and management assessments, fitness for duty evaluations, independent medical/psychological evaluations, disability evaluations, and proactive psychological wellness programs.

Kiri Faul, Ph.D.

Owner
Dr. Kiri A. Faul is the Founder and Owner of Faul Psychological after having been mentored under Dr. Gary Fischler (Gary L. Fischler & Associates) for nearly 14 years. She earned her Ph.D. in psychology from the University of North Dakota in 2006. Since 2008, her primary specialty has been working as a Police and Public Safety Psychologist, conducting thousands of Psychological Pre-employment Evaluations, as well as numerous Leadership & Management Assessments, Fitness-for-Duty Evaluations, and Independent Psychological Evaluations. She also provides mental health and wellness services to public safety agencies. Dr. Faul’s special interests relate to PTSD and trauma stress responses, and maintaining and returning employees to fitness for duty. She is an active member of IACP-PPSS (Police Psychology Services Section), having served as a member of its Education Committee for the annual IACP conference for numerous years. In addition to Police and Public Safety, she provides evaluations in the areas of Social Security Disability, VA disability, and family court.
Philip Sarff, Ph.D.
Licensed Psychologist
Dr. Sarff graduated with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Graduate School of Psychology, Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. He completed his internship in Clinical Psychology through the University of Minnesota Psychology Internship Consortium in 1991. He spent his early career involved in a rehabilitation setting and has had an interest in various aspects of psychological assessment since the beginning of his career. He continues his career in assessment and consultative work in a variety of contexts, including vocational rehabilitation, disability determination, independent medical examinations, fitness-for-duty examinations, and pre-employment screening assessments for public safety professionals. He has experience determining functional impacts of neurodevelopmental, neuropsychological, emotional, and personality disorders. He also enjoys training and supervising doctoral-level practicum students learning psychological assessment skills.
April Leaveck, Psy.D.
Licensed Psychologist
Dr. April Leaveck earned her Doctorate in Psychology from Central Michigan University in 1994. She began her professional career as a psychologist with Scott County Mental Health Center and was a supervisor for one year. Dr. Leaveck began working with Gary L. Fischler & Associates, PA in 2003. Since that time she has worked with police and public safety agencies throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin, as well as for several federal agencies. She has conducted thousands of psychological pre-employment evaluations and leadership & management assessments for a variety of law enforcement and public safety agencies to assist in their hiring and promotional process. Dr. Leaveck has also specialized in fitness-for-duty evaluations for military contracts, public safety agenices, and private companies. In the past, she has conducted disability evaluations for the VA and Social Security, as well as evaluations for custody, civil litigation, and various court-ordered referrals.
Kasey Aleknavicius, Psy.D.
Licensed Psychologist
Kasey Aleknavicius, PsyD, LP, graduated with a Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology Degree from APA accredited Argosy University, Orange County in 2014. She has been licensed as a psychologist since 2015. Dr. Aleknavicius has conducted a mix of pre-employment, clinical, educational, and disability assessments, and previously worked in both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings. Her interests include psychopharmacology, substance abuse, and trauma and stressor-related disorders.
